Abstract: This paper evaluates the main variables that affect the production of rice in Egypt and Iraq in the 2000-2022 years. The trends of variables relating to production were assessed using the descriptive statistical methods and the independent-samples t-tests and using to determine the significant differences between the two countries. The results showed that statistically significant differences exist among most variables, and especially in the area of productivity, input costs, and climatic conditions. Producer prices had a positive impact on the productivity (R2=0.2778) and labor costs had weak negative impact in Egypt (R2=0.2592). Irrigation costs were the prevailing factor in Iraq (R2=0.5718) and together with rainfall showed a great influence in the multiple-regression model.
